07/06/05 Mike Robbins has
retired from the 9-5 grind. Can it be long for the rest of us? Initial reports
are that he is having a wonderful time, living the Life of Reiley. He writes, "I
had reached the point where I was no longer having any fun (all my staff was
doing the fun stuff). Retiring was in order and much more fun than quitting. I
have spent most of the past two months turning my raw, dirty garage into a
clean, bright workshop. I am having so much fun that I told Louise that when I
finish, I am going to take it all apart and start over. Instant gratification.
You build something and it sits there staring at you. Hammers don't crash."
He is looking in to having a book he wrote in the 1970s
called Electronic Clocks and Watches republished - maybe through the web
or some other publisher like www.Lulu.com.
